Fields are Open
Use sidelines for practice

We ask that in the event of colder temperatures or heavy rains, referees and coaches use their best judgement at game time as to whether the fields are safe to play on, and call it accordingly.
Shirley Macey is open on 1/2 pitch closest to Chamberlain Road.

The U12 Thunderbirds have been enjoying a successful season and have been on an especially good run of late, proving themselves to be improved in all areas of the pitch.

Soccer Season Ticket for registered BC Soccer youth participants

Vancouver Whitecaps FC in partnership with BC Soccer launched the exclusive Youth Soccer Season Ticket which enables boys and girls registered with BC Soccer to purchase Whitecaps FC season tickets for the 2012 season at an accessible price. The exclusive offer is part of the continued partnership between Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Community Partner, BC Soccer, who work closely together to grow the game of soccer in British Columbia. CSA's recommendation to eliminate league standings in youth soccer under LTPD

One element of Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) that frequently stirs controversy is the recommendation to eliminate league standings below U12. The controversy arises from the popular claim that standings, as well as league championships and trophies at these early ages, are essential to motivating young players to "compete". However, experience shows us that young children will compete even in the absences of league standings.

It was great to have KidSport out during the Whitecaps training sessions. Many youth would not have the opportunity to play the game without the dedication and support of people that participate in making KidSport such a great success. The SCYSA says Thank You!

Paul Shipton and Alison Koch of Dundee Securities Corporation were on hand to watch the Whitecaps team play the U16 Spartans. At half time they presented the SCYSA with a $5,000 cheque as their annual participation in the sponsorship of the u9 division. More than $300,000 has been spent through in kind donations and financial contributions to bring improvements to the upper field at Chatelech Secondary School. The process has been helped along by a great number of people. In 2007 the SCYSA approved a motion to develope strategies to have an artificial turf field built at Chatelech. It is at our doorstep. Read more ...
