This artistic impression of the fields behind Chatelech Secondary School by local artist Dean Schutz depicts the magnitude of activity that may be garnered from this under utilized piece of property. The fields at Chatelech Secondary School are suitably located to introduce a landmark facility for ALL the citizens of the Sunshine Coast. A decision by the Sunshine Coast Youth Soccer Association to bring an initiative forward to the Sunshine Coast Board of Education to determine the feasibility of constructing a new facility on school grounds was made for a number of reasons;

1. The land area is clear and would not be subject to major environmental concerns.
2. The fields have continually been in a low state of maintenance.
3. The Sunshine Coast School District collaborates with the community.
4. The area has the potential to centralize a number of community needs.
5. The project would bring economic opportunities to the entire Sunshine Coast.
6. Developments surrounding the fields have indicated an interest in supporting the project.
