Presented by Kim Barsanti from Lucas Talent. As a talent agent, what kind of training does it take to land major roles, minor parts and background appearances? How does an actor get listed with an agency and what do agencies do for their clients? Where do I find my clients? How do you begin? Auditioning Workshop for Actors (12—1pm): Registered participants will be provided with scripts in advance, with specific parts to prepare and then to read in front of the group. prepare, audition protocol, how to relax and Kim will then critique the readings with tips on how best to enjoy the process of auditioning, and dealing with rejection. Kim has been a talent agent for 20 years and works at the largest agency in Vancouver. She has a BFA in theatre from Concordia and worked in professional theatre as a stage manager for 15 years previous to being an agent.

This presentation would explore the options and formats for a DIY website versus a professionally designed and maintained website. Topics will include costs, hosting, custom and non-custom templates, setting up e commerce transactions and the pros & cons of using existing sales sites such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy. Chloe designs websites, album covers, logos and branding for artists and performers. She studied Media Production at OstwestfalenLippe University of Applied Sciences and Design & Digital Media at Berufskolleg Leiflefeld-Senne.
