Website: Alison J Taylor: Artist, Painter, Quiltmaker
Address: Halfmoon Bay, BC
Description: Since graduating from Emily Carr University in 2009, I have focused on painting, both abstract and representational. I work in several media; oil is my favourite. The subtext for my representational work is usually my concern for the environment and biodiversity. But sometimes I simply paint what interests me visually. Painting abstracts is an act of exploration. Through the process, I identify and express thoughts, feelings and philosophies that guide my life. Painting helps me make sense of my experience living in this era of history, so the finished works usually speak to what we call "the human condition".
