 CCA Coffee House

The monthly Artesia coffee house will be held on a very Good Friday evening, March 30th at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt. The evening will open with young singer, songwriter Ashley Hautala followed by the Pender Harbour duo of Ken Johnson on grand piano and Nancy Pincombe, vocals. After the break, author, Anne Simonet will read from her latest novel, 'Unfinished Business'. Closing the night will be the ' The Millar-Bowie Band' with Glenn Millar, guitars/vocals, Jim Bowie, guitars/vocals and Paula Bowie, uke/vocals with an eclectic mix of cover and original tunes spanning the genres of folk, pop rock and jazz.

Doors open at 7pm, showtime at 8pm and tickets are $10. Come early for a good seat and enjoy treats by Trish, a slideshow of performers over the last 15 years and the current art exhibition in the Doris Crowston Gallery.

Artesia is presented the last Friday of the month January to May.

The Artesia Coffee House is organized by CCA members and is held the last Friday of each month (usually) with 4 25 minute sets of live quality performances. Linda Williams will be booking the performers and handling promotions, Peter Lietz mixes the sound and volunteers will be helping with the setup and front of house. 80% of proceeds go to pay performers & sound tech after expenses.
