 CCA Coffee House

The monthly Artesia Coffee House will be held this month on Friday, March 29th with another eclectic line-up of local performers. The resident grand piano will again be in attendance and played in the first set by Anna Lumiere as she accompanies her musical family of Graham Ord, and their sons, Béla, and Noah Ord playing a multitude of instruments and joined by Baeden Shendebraye on drums for the 'Hordes of Ords'. They will be followed by vocal group, 'Hot Java' with Bev Nielsen, Joan Vernon, Joy Germaine, Jan Gillis, Patrice Pollack and Jane Metcalfe. For something new and different after the break we will have, new to the Coast, the physical comedy and story telling of Aaron Malkin (of 'James and Jamie fame'). Closing the night, the 'Transatlantics' with Anna Lumiere, keys, and Steven Schwabl, vocals and surprises will entertain..

Doors open at 7pm, showtime at 8pm and tickets are $10. Come early for a good seat and enjoy treats by Trish, a slideshow of performers over the last 15 years and the current art exhibition in the Doris Crowston Gallery.

Artesia is presented the last Friday of the month January to May.

The Artesia Coffee House is organized by CCA members and is held the last Friday of each month (usually) with 4 25 minute sets of live quality performances. Linda Williams will be booking the performers and handling promotions, Peter Lietz mixes the sound and volunteers will be helping with the setup and front of house. 80% of proceeds go to pay performers & sound tech after expenses.
