COFFEE HOUSE IN SECHELT !!

The Artesia coffeehouse presented by Coast Cultural Alliance will have it's first show of 2012, Friday, January 27th at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre in Sechelt. The coffeehouse continues to celebrate performers of all ages and styles as we start the year with Mari Nielsen, fiddle, joined by her dad Mark Lebbell, guitar. Next up is 'Pops and Punks' as Mike and Maddy Weber plus Gedeon Lizee and Robyn Edgar harmonize some very jazzy tunes accompanied by Ken Dalgleish on piano. 'Back Porch Reunion', another father/daughter duo bring us some Delta style blues and singer, songwriters Chelsea Crawford and Ross Hastings joined by Chris Mortensen on bass/drums, with a farewell to the Sunshine Coast performance will close another delicious evening of live music. Tickets are $10 at the door opening at 7:00pm, showtime is 8:00pm. Come early enjoy the slideshow of past performers, delectable treats by Trish and the Friends of the Galley art show on the walls of the Doris Crowston Gallery.

The Artesia Coffee House is organized by CCA members and is held the last Friday of each month (usually) with 4 25 minute sets of live quality performances. Linda Williams will be booking the performers and handling promotions, Peter Lietz mixes the sound and volunteers will be helping with the setup and front of house. 80% of proceeds go to pay performers & sound tech after expenses.
