Timothy Taylor is well known to Coast audiences from earlier readings at the Arts Centre and the Festival. He began by winning the Journey Prize in 2000 for “The Doves of Townsend,” which competed with two of his other stories on the same short list. His first novel, Stanley Park (2001), short listed for the Giller and the Writers’ Trust Prize, was followed by Silent Cruise (2002), a collection of award-winning short stories. His subsequent novels, Story House (2006) and The Blue Light Project (2011) have also been best sellers and critically acclaimed. His latest publication is a brief non-fiction e-book entitled Foodville (2014), a sometimes satiric look at the current culinary craze.
