Fun activities for the whole family including a community photo-booth, the official exhibit opening of The Past is Present (an interactive photograph exhibit), and local historical vignettes from Driftwood Players theatre. A traditional English tea luncheon and refreshments by donation. Dale Peterson will offer a historical walking tour of Gibsons Landing leaving from the Gibsons Visitor Centre at 11:00am (rain or shine). Local author Ray Phillips writes about the history of Jervis Inlet in his new book, "The Royal Fjord: Memories of Jervis Inlet," just released from Harbour Publishing. The book features original photos and the rough-hewn memories of some of the early inhabitants of the area, along with personal accounts by the author and his father and other Sunshine Coast locals. Author royalties for this book are being donated to the Pender Harbour Living Heritage Society.
