SCYSA is part of the North Shore Soccer Association

Game reports

Referees are required to submit a written game or incident report after any game in which there is a questionable incident or situation, or if there is a field or equipment situation that needs attention. The report should be sent to coastreferees@gmail.com and include:

Final Scores

Description of the field conditions & weather

Description of the incident that is being reported

The SCYSA cannot address situations that we are not aware of, so we appreciate a full report. Your name confidential.

Soccer Rules

U11 & U12

• FIFA rules except
• 8 players on the field; minimum 7 players to start
• 30 minute half
• Off-sides in the last 1/3 of the field only
• 9 metres for free-kicks instead of 10
• (house only) 2^nd chance on a throw in - explain what they did wrong
• Unlimited substitution
• Indirect Free Kicks taken from outside of Penalty Area
• Keeper not permitted to punt ball from his goal area to opponent’s goal area; free kick to the opposing team from the centre mark.

• Full FIFA rules
• Unlimited substitution

• U13, U14 - 35 minute half

Registration details for the clinic -

Pre-requisite: Minimum 14 Years old Course Length: 17 hours Course Fee: $125.00 (plus a $4.25 user fee / system processing fee) Registration: Click on the link below	August 19, 6PM to 10PM August 20, 9AM to 4PM August 21,  9AM to 2PM Location: Sechelt Public Libary Communty Use Room Please be prepared for both classroom and field work - dress appropriately.

All participants MUST register with BCSA using the link above. You are required to pay the $125 registration fee - we will fully reimburse you upon successful completion of the training and after you have refereed 3 games for youth soccer.
Every participant must complete a pre-course assignment. Once you are registered you will get a confirmation email from BCSA - and a link to the assignment. If you are having problems registering send and email to coastreferees@gmail.com with your name and phone number. (Laurie will call you.)
