Reg Thomas Sunshine Coast Youth Soccer Association Bursaries
Reg was the force behind the hugely successful senior girl’s league. He was a tireless worker for the SCYSA; he coached for many years, managed the senior girls division, organized volunteers for field-lining, lined fields, set-up and dismantled our road signs, organized equipment collection and much more. He will be missed but his spirit is always on and around the field.
In memory of Reg the SCYSA established a bursary fund to recognize achievement in and contribution to soccer, refereeing, coaching, volunteering and a willingness to give back to the game in our community. The bursaries are for eligible Sunshine Coast graduating students heading on to post secondary education.

The Sunshine Coast Youth Soccer Association is proud to award up to five Bursaries of $500 each to graduating players/referees from the Sunshine Coast proceeding on to post secondary education. The Bursaries will be awarded at the High School Graduation Ceremonies.
All applications should be mailed to the SCYSA post box before the deadline of May 16, 2011. All application information is confidential.

| British Columbia Soccer Association Scholarships |

The BC Soccer Association is proud to award scholarships every year to players proceeding on to post secondary education. The Scholarships will be awarded at a special Scholarship Luncheon at the British Columbia Soccer Association’s Annual General Meeting being held in June. Applications must be signed off by your Youth District Chairperson or Adult (Senior) League President. The completed application can either be forwarded to BC Soccer by the Youth District/Adult (Senior) League or the individual who is applying for the scholarship.
The Awards and Scholarships Celebration will take place on June 12th, 2010 at the Coast Coal Harbour Hotel. Closer to the date more details about the event will be posted on our website.
In 2008, 11 scholarships were given out and through donations were able to increase the amount of the scholarships to $1200.00. Our goal is to do the same this year. To apply for the BC Soccer Scholarship please go to the event section on our website www.bcsoccer.net and download the application.
The deadline for application is March 31st each year and all applications must be sent directly to the North Shore Youth Soccer Association who will sign and forward the application to the BC Soccer Association office.
